I've had numerous requests about what else to do in London. 

Here are some links and opinions on some of the attractions that are reasonable close to where we will be:

EAST OF US:
Greenwich Market and Maritime Museum. 
Greenwich is a bus ride away. 
In 2001 some players went there on the Sunday morning.  
The market is considered one of London's great markets.
The Maritime Museum is well worth a look too. 

NORTH OF US:
The Isle of Dogs.
Take a 10 minute walk to Nelson Dock and catch a ferry across the river to see the modern part of East London. From here you can take the Docklands Light Railway (a driverless train) to the Tower of London.

Covent Garden Market. 
This is the posh one - and has street entertainers.
Also in Covent Garden is the Transport Museum.

Camden Market. 
My local market and I think the best in London but no as easy to get to and from as Greenwich or Covent Garden.

Tower Bridge.
Very close to where we will be. You can go up in top bit. 

The Tower of London. 
Again very close. See the crown jewels - mostly stolen from India... stop it Michael, don't get political ! 
Please don't scare the ravens (birds) or the Tower will fall down ... or so they say ! 

Buckingham Palace. 
Home of Liz and Charles. See the changing of the Guards and see if you can make them smile. 

The House of Parliament and Big Ben. 
The home of democracy - until Tony Blair appointed himself President. I said don't get political Michael !!  

St Paul's Cathedral. 
A big church by Mr Christopher Wren. 

The Tate Modern Museum. 
Modern art if you like that kind of stuff. 

The Tate Museum.
Classic art.

London's Theatres.
Get cheap price tickets from Leicester Square.

The London Eye.
A big wheel on the Southbank from where you can see London.

The London Dungeons.
Scare yourself silly ! Just south of Tower bridge.

Madame Tussards.
Wax works models of famous people. Long queues though.

The Planetarium. 
See the sky from inside. 

The Natural History Museum.
This is worth the trip but it's on the other side of town from where we will be.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
Built a few ago on what is considered to be its original site - an interesting building and well written plays by Will !

The Millennium Bridge. 
London's latest bridge - links The Tate modern to St Pauls.
