The inspiration for Live in London came from my going to an Internet (Funcom) backgammon players meet in Oslo in June 2001.
It was organised by Bedstefar, Netmusen and Phebe.
It was a great party !

That was the second year they had organised a weekend - the previous had been in Gotenborg (when I had been away in some other part of the world). 

Myself, Cassie and Guy went to Oslo, had a great time and on our way home decided that we could organise a "return" party in London.    

Hence "Funcom Backgammon Live in London 2001". Bedstefar and Netmusen (and others) came over for the weekend.

The following year Bedstefar persuaded his good wife Anni that they should have a backgammon party in their own home. Once again we had a great party, some wonderful food cooked by Anni and played some good backgammon.

To Beds backgammon has always been secondary to the sociability it can bring - I second that Beds !

Beds, Anni, Net and others came back over for "A Weekend of Live Backgammon in London 2002". 

I missed another of Bed's & Anni's backgammon parties in Jan 2003. 

This year Beds and Anni will again be with us in London. 
YEE HAA !!! 
They will be with us on Friday and Saturday.

Beds has said he will not play in the tournaments (though we might just change his mind) and Anni does not play b-g. Beds, ever the Gentleman, realises there might a full house of 64 players and is happy to just come for the social side of it all.

Anni is an artist and has very kindly offered to donate one of her glass plates as a prize.
