TOURNAMENTS

OLYMPIAD TOURNAMENT

A 32 PLAYER
KNOCKOUT OLYMPIAD TOURNAMENT.

Sunday attendance in 2004 and 2003 was only 32 players so this year the Main Sunday Event will be a Tournament for that number.
Therefore we suggest you pre-register.

Sunday 12.00 o'clock

MAIN, CONSOLATION, LAST CHANCE, SUICIDE, SATTELITES AND TRIC TRAC TOURNO WITH AN AUCTION AND POOLS THOUGHOUT.

This format is designed to keep all players playing 80% of the time.

VIEW THE TIME AND MOTION

There will be trophies for Winners and
1st, 2nd & 3rd placed medals in all brackets.

As a general rule,
if you lose in the Main you play in the Consolation,
if you lose in the Conso you play in the Last Chance,
if you lose in the Last Chance you play in the Suicide.
All pretty standard stuff. Pools in all.

Lose in the 1st Rounds of the Conso or Last Chance,
instead of standing around kicking your heels,
you also play in a Satellite.
These also have a trophies, medals and pools.

Lose in any Semi-Final and you go into the 3rd place Play-off of that Bracket.
These are worth playing because there are 3rd placed player medals up for grabs.
Also if the two Finalists did not enter the pool but the losing Semi-Finalists did then you are also playing for the pool.

Lose in the 1/4 Finals of the Consolation and you play in the Tric Trac Tourno. This is an all play all 1 games match event. Gammons are your targets.
Again there will be a trophy, medals and a pool.

All players will get at least 5 matches,
some could play as many as 13.

The Auction will kick off just before the Main.
If you’re unsure of how that works an explanation will be given just before it.

Entry to Pools must happen before you commence play in that bracket. Entries after you have commenced play in the relevant bracket cannot and will not be accepted.

Because we effectively have 7 Tournaments happening within the 1 Tournament and to help you all understand the progress of each tournament there will set areas of play for each Bracket (all upstairs in the Spice Island).

BIBA TOURNAMENT RULES APPLY.

Good luck and enjoy !
