BACKGAMMON IN THE PARK
as part of the festivities in Clissold Park.
FREE WORKSHOP
This will be running all day.
Learn the basics in 30 minutes.
Brush up on your knowledge of this
5000 year old game.
You will also be able to have a lesson on the Crawford Rule.
KNOCKOUT TOURNEYS
Entry to these will be £1.
1 point matches and
3 point matches with Crawford Rule.
Maximum 16 players per tournament.
If you lose you can re-enter for another £1.
The winner of each tournament will win a copy of Starting out in Backgammon by Paul Lamford or a copy of An Independent View by Chris Bray of the Independent.
We will start at 10.00 a.m.
and finish officially at 6.00 p.m.
(but we might take a little longer than that!)
On your first entry to a Knockout Tournament
you will be given a voucher (to be used by 7.00 p.m.)for a
free glass of wine / soft drink
